Terms of Service — Yallah AI

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Yallah AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, free users, and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

Yallah AI is a personal AI life assistant that helps you manage tasks, track your budget, set and monitor goals, and interact with an AI assistant. The Service is available via web browser and mobile applications (iOS and Android). Paid plans include push notifications delivered to your mobile device for task and goal reminders, budget alerts, and account activity. Features vary depending on your subscription plan.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use most features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering and keep it up to date. You may not share your account with others or use another person's account.

4. Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to Pro plan features. No credit card is required to start the trial. The trial automatically expires after 7 days, at which point your account is automatically downgraded to the Free plan — you will not be charged unless you explicitly subscribe to a paid plan.

Trial data policy: If you have created more data than the Free plan allows (more than 8 tasks, 2 goals, or 8 budget entries), excess items are moved to your Recycle Bin and marked as locked when your trial ends. These items are preserved and can be fully restored by upgrading to a paid plan at any time. Items in the Recycle Bin are permanently deleted after 30 days.

5. Subscription Plans, Billing & Auto-Renewal

Yallah AI offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Pro and Premium), billed either monthly or yearly through our payment processor, Paddle. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing period — your subscription renews automatically on the anniversary of your original purchase date until you cancel it. All prices are displayed in USD and are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

6. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription → Cancel Plan. Two outcomes are possible, depending on when you cancel relative to your original purchase date:

Within 7 days of your first purchase: you may choose to cancel immediately with a full refund, or cancel without a refund and keep your paid features until the end of the current billing period (see Section 8)
After 7 days: your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, you will not be billed again, and no refund is issued for any unused/remaining time — your account then automatically reverts to the Free plan

A scheduled cancellation can be undone at any time before it takes effect by choosing "Re-activate" in the same Settings page. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

7. Downgrade Policy

Premium subscribers may downgrade to the Pro plan at any time from Settings → Subscription → Downgrade to Pro. Downgrades are handled differently from cancellations:

The change takes effect on your next billing date — you continue to enjoy Premium features until then
No refund is ever issued for downgrades, including within the 7-day window described in Section 8 — that guarantee covers cancelling your subscription entirely, not moving to a lower-priced plan
A scheduled downgrade can be cancelled at any time before it takes effect via the "Re-activate" option in Settings

8. 7-Day Refund Window

If you are not satisfied with your first paid subscription, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your original purchase date by choosing the "Cancel & refund" option in Settings → Subscription → Cancel Plan. Choosing this option ends your subscription immediately and refunds the full amount you were charged to your original payment method. This guarantee applies once per account and does not apply to plan downgrades or to renewal charges after the initial 7-day window. See our Refund Policy for full details.

9. New Features & Plan-Specific Functionality

Certain features are only available on specific plans:

Task & Goal Reminders (Pro & Premium): Push notifications sent 3 days and 1 day before a task or goal's due date.
Budget Alerts (Pro & Premium): Push notifications when your monthly spending reaches 50%, 70%, 90%, and 95% of your set budget limit.
Time Tracking (Pro & Premium): Track time spent on individual tasks. Time logs are stored in our database and associated with your account.
Time Reports (Pro & Premium): View detailed productivity reports for today, this week, this month, or a custom date range.
Weekly AI Summary (Pro & Premium): A weekly AI-generated summary of your tasks, goals, and budget delivered to your account.
Recurring Tasks (Premium): Create tasks that automatically repeat on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. When a recurring task is completed, the next occurrence is automatically created.
AI Goal Coaching (Premium): Receive personalized coaching and predictions for your goals using AI analysis. Coaching responses are cached for 24 hours to reduce API usage.
Daily AI Summary (Premium): A daily AI-generated summary of your tasks, goals, and budget.
Custom Reminder Times (Premium): Set up to three custom notification times per day for tasks and goals, in addition to the default morning reminder.
Calendar View (Premium): View all tasks, goals, and budget entries with due dates in a monthly calendar interface.

We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features from any plan with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will not lose access to features mid-billing-period without prior notice.

10. Plan Limits & Feature Gating

Each subscription tier has specific limits and feature access:

Free plan: Up to 8 tasks, 2 goals, 8 budget entries; 10 AI messages/month; 7-day archive retention; basic analytics.
Pro plan ($9.99/month): Unlimited tasks, goals, and budget entries; 300 AI messages/month; time tracking and reports; weekly AI summary; Excel export; 4-month archive retention.
Premium plan ($19.99/month): Everything in Pro; 700 AI messages/month; calendar view; recurring tasks; AI goal coaching; daily AI summary; PDF export; 1-year archive retention.

If you downgrade (or your trial expires), items exceeding Free plan limits are moved to the Recycle Bin and locked for 30 days. Upgrading restores full access. We reserve the right to adjust plan limits with 30 days' notice.

Auto-start timer (Pro & Premium only) automatically begins time tracking when a task moves to "In Progress". Free plan users can see the toggle but it is disabled.

11. Time Tracking Data

When you use the Time Tracking feature, we store start time, end time, and duration for each tracked session associated with your tasks. This data is used solely to provide you with productivity analytics within the Service. Time tracking data is deleted immediately when you delete your account or the associated task. We do not share time tracking data with third parties.

12. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Generate or distribute harmful, illegal, or abusive content
Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
Use automated tools to scrape or extract data without permission
Impersonate any person or entity
Spam or harass other users or our support team

13. AI-Generated Content

The AI responses provided by Yallah are generated automatically and may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation. AI-generated content should not be treated as professional financial, legal, medical, or other expert advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on AI output.

14. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding associated with Yallah AI is the property of Yallah and its licensors. You retain ownership of data you input into the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely to provide the Service to you.

15. Termination

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time from the Settings page (see Sections 6–8 for how subscription cancellations, downgrades, and refunds are handled). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We may retain anonymized data as permitted by our Privacy Policy.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yallah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

18. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Israel.
